My mother's present are usually dreadful (Irish County &amp; Western - Ugh) but she'd heard from my Aunt that Oasis were very popular with the kids. I'd heard 1 0r 2 tracks but when I listened to the album I put it on again...and again.....and again. I'd been a music fan before then but they became MY band like tons of others around that time.I've followed Oasis since then (and just saw them again yesterday in Slane Castle in Ireland. Is the new stuff as good? No, of course not. Will they do anything as good in the future? Probably not. But does it matter?
